Dog & Cat Success Stories

Betty and Scarlett

Scarlett is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and in the spring of 2010 at the age of 21 months I noticed that she wasn't enjoying her walks - she was walking slower, dragging behind and sometimes even stopping and wanting me to carry her. This was a young dog that used to walk for hours and loved visiting with all of the neighbors. We were sent to Dr. Gassel at Southern California Vet Specialty Hospital and after some specialized tests found out that she did have elbow dysplasia in both elbows. We also found out that she had hip dysplasia. I was concerned at first because this was something new to me but Dr. Gassel felt Scarlett was a good candidate for this procedure.

She had stem cell therapy done in December of 2010 and I couldn't get over the immediate difference! She is now running around the backyard, jumping up and down on the furniture in the house and again going on walks and visiting with all of the neighbors and seems to be enjoying her life again. We have been able to substantially cut down her pain meds and hope to one day eliminate them completely.

I tell everyone I see about Scarlett's miraculous recovery and how firmly I believe in the wonderful work you do with stem cell therapy! I'm so thankful to Dr. Gassel, and VetStem for helping me bring my little Scarlett back to her happy self again! She's now a lively 3-year-old Cavalier who is enjoying her life again and we hope to continue like this for another 10+ years thanks to VetStem cell therapy!
