Elfie - Soft Tissue Injuries in Shoulder

Description: When she was ten years old, Elfie had a serious shoulder injury that resulted in a completely severed interior ligament and a partially torn exterior ligament. After the injury she limped on her right forelimb and had to be confined to a room with no furniture. Of course she was very bored and frustrated and the whole family's quality of life was highly restricted because we wanted to keep her company as much as possible during her time of limited mobility. Comments: When Dr. Carlson performed the shoulder stabilization surgery, she recommended stem cell treatment to speed recovery and to help heal the damaged ligaments that were still partially viable. Elfie recovered from the surgery quickly and regained 100% of her prior mobility. Eighteen months after the surgery and stem cell treatment, she is a 12-year-old dog who joyfully walks over a mile a day and then has vigorous zoomies with her toys at night. She runs, jumps, and zig-zags around the house and she's happier than ever.
